How to Find Us
Public transport routes
The closest airport to us is Inverness airport which is approximately an hour south of our centre. There are shuttle buses available from the airport that will take you to the centre of Inverness where you can then get a connecting bus or train to Tain. If you are flying into Edinburgh, there are plenty of train and bus options to bring you to Inverness where you can continue your journey onwards to Tain. Check Stagecoach North or Scotrail for timetabling and further information.
Bus from Inverness
There are a few different bus routes from Inverness that will bring you to Tain. The fastest is the X99 which runs approximately 3 or 4 times a day. Buses 25, 25X and X98 will also get you to Tain. Our centre is approximately a 45 minute walk from town however we can potentially arrange a taxi for you should you provide us with plenty of notice regarding your arrival time. Please note that buses are infrequent on Sundays! Check Stagecoach North for timetabling and further information
Train From Inverness
There is only one train line that goes north of Inverness and we are on it! The trains are semi-regular (except on Sundays) and will leave you at Tain station. Check Scotrail for timetables. We are approximately a 45 minute walk from the station however taxis are available and pick ups can be arranged on request.
Please advise us at the time of booking if you require collecting in order for us to make arrangements well in advance. Public transport this far North is not frequent! On average we have 4 buses and 4 trains a day. Before booking flights, please check that there will be a bus or train leaving at the right time for you to be able to catch it – allow extra time for delays, and for your bus journey from the Airport into Inverness town, unless of course, you are happy to pay the extra for collection!
We suggest you check www.travelinescotland.com as they can provide all public transport information for air, rail and bus or coach, within Scotland and from major Cities through out the UK.
